Our Programs

We provide for this in the North Island Community through: Advocacy, Crisis Intervention, Referral Services,

Counselling, Child Development and Family Supports. 

Our approach is to work in a pro-active manner as a co-operative member of the local service provision community.

Better at Home Program

(BAH) provides older adults (65+) with simple non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities.

Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH)

Community-based counselling support addressing anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, identity, bullying, self-esteem, and life transitions.

Community Connector

Part of the Social Prescribing program, Seniors 55+ living in the North Island can be referred for assistance to reduce social isolation, improve emotional well being, digital literacy, finances, housing and accessing benefits, as well as healthy lifestyle choices, engaging in community activities, and navigating community resources.

Complex Development Keyworker Services

Strength-based support for neurodiverse children/youth with FASD, ADHD, ADD, ODD and related conditions, offering advocacy, guidance, and practical tools for families.

Early Years Family Navigator

Family-centered support for expecting parents and families with young children, offering advocacy, education, and connections to community services.

Family Counselling

Safe, confidential support for individuals, couples, and families to improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen relationships.

Family Support After School Program

After-school program for children and youth with special support needs, focusing on individualized goals through activity-based programming.

Foundry Port Hardy

Part of a province-wide network that provides a range of holistic wellness services for youth and caregivers in the Mount Waddington Region. Foundry services are available to youth ages 12-24 and their caregivers at no cost.

Hospice Support Services

Community-based volunteer program providing compassionate hospice outreach, grief and bereavement support, and hospital and home visits.

Infant Development Program (IDP)

Free family-centered service supporting children at risk for or experiencing developmental delays, with screenings, activities, and professional collaboration.

Let Them Play Early Learning Centre

Licensed $10/day government funded childcare facility in Port McNeill providing preschool, before & after school, and summer camp programs.

Let's Play Infant & Toddler Centre

Licensed infant and toddler childcare in Port Hardy with inclusive, play-based learning in a nurturing environment. Part of the Provincial Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative program.

New Beginnings Program

Adult sober residential facility offering 30-day social detox and short-term crisis stabilization with 24/7 staffing and nursing support.

PEACE Counselling Program

Free, confidential counselling for children and youth who have experienced domestic violence, including individual/group counselling and VIP workshops.

RCMP Victim Services

Essential support for victims and witnesses of crime and trauma including crisis intervention, justice system information, and court support.

Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP)

Therapeutic support for children and youth who have experienced sexual abuse or displayed sexually intrusive behaviors, plus parent/caregiver support.

Sexual Assault Services (SAS)

Free, confidential support for survivors of sexual violence and their families, with no requirement to report to police.

Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling

Gender-based counselling for survivors of childhood abuse, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence using trauma-informed and intersectional approaches.

Strong Start

Play-based early learning program where parents and caregivers learn and play alongside their young children.

Supported Child Development

Individualized support for children with developmental delays, communication/behavioural challenges, disabilities, or medical needs in daycare and recreational settings.

Women's Outreach

Support for women who have experienced violence including advocacy, transportation, court accompaniment, and emotional support.

Women's Safe House

24/7 short-term safe accommodation and support for women and children fleeing violence, with trauma-informed care and dignity-focused services.

Youth Outreach Program

Support for youth referred by MCFD who are at increased risk or vulnerability, focusing on life skills and independence.
